How to use the recorder trainer
The trainer works right in the browser: the phone or computer listens to the sound through the microphone, detects the pitch of the note and compares it with the one you need to play. The recording is not sent anywhere.
- A different note sounds — the trainer will tell you which finger to lift or lower and highlight the hole on the diagram.
- The recorder squeals — you are blowing too hard and the sound “jumped” an octave up.
- The sound hisses — the holes are not covered tightly: press them with the pads of your fingers, not the tips.
- Arrow left of center — the sound is a bit low, blow more confidently; right of center — blow softer.
It is best to practice in a quiet room and keep the phone half a meter from the recorder.
